An Economic Battle Plan for the United States
Before we talk about an economic battle plan for the United States, we need to talk about some fundamental issues. When I turn the news on each morning, and they talk about a recession…which I know was totally avoidable. Everything and I mean everything can be related to three simple issues:
- Energy
- Manufacturing
- Labor
Let’s talk about #1 (energy). Do you believe the price of oil will go up or down in price? We all know the price of oil is going up…due to a greater demand each year, coupled by a smaller supply. It’s that simple.
What if the world’s supply of oil was diminished to the half-empty mark (by 2015)? What do you think the price of oil will be then ($200 or $3,000 dollars a barrel)? Did you know the price of oil affects the prices to all known commodities, products, and services sold in the world? Let’s say the price of oil went up, and you owned a large corporation in the U.S. that had to deliver products to 1000 stores nationwide. Your liabilities would increase, your profits would go down, and thus your price per share would be worth less (your company’s stock). What do you think would happen long term to the stock market if (almost) all stocks were effected in the same manner?
Do politicians, lobbyists, oil & gas companies, or the underwriters of energy stocks on Wall Street care about new technologies related to energy? If they did, you would have heard of the alternatives in the following paragraph. I know they are too busy lining their pockets with the blood & sweat of our country…to care about anything other than their fat behinds.
What if I told you there was a way to stop most of the future borrowing for our country, create economic stimulus, stop most of the pollution, and reduce the effects higher global temperatures. Simply stop using oil at the end of eight years. But John, how do you simply stop using oil??? There are three known (alternative energy sources) other than oil, gas, coal, and ethanol (produced from corn…as example). One is green algae, which can be manipulated to produce hydrogen (versus oxygen). A 100 mile lake full of green algae could supply all the energy needs for all the cars in North America. In addition, you cannot blow it up, and it would be cheap to produce (since it grows like rabbits on steroids). Two is salt water being hit with focused radio waves…which burns just like gas (imagine that). The earth has an endless supply of saltwater…every nation on earth would have an endless supply of energy (forever). See the link below. Third, basically, you can produce fusion (the energy of the sun) in a contained reactor, creating an endless supply of clean energy (forever)…if you could keep the walls from melting from the fusion reaction. Helium 3 produces very little (escaping) neutrino’s that melt reactor walls in a fusion reactor, and there is very little Helium 3 on the earth…but the moon as an endless supply of Helium 3. Since the moon has been hit with solar rays (for millions, upon millions of years) it produces a great deal of Helium 3. If you were to create an economy based on moving large amounts of dirt from the moon to the earth…you would have a great deal of economic muscle to push around…by controlling all the known Helium 3. Imagine the United States being the Saudi Arabia of Helium 3.
Let’s talk about #2 (manufacturing). Manufactures have left the United States…simply because they cannot afford it. As an example, I used to hire a programmer for $6,000 to $8,000 a month. Now, I have hired a programmer with the same skills (or better) for $2,000 a month in India. What would you do? Yes…hire the programmer from India. This is what all manufactures are doing, or simply moving to a foreign country. Why do you think China is now the economic powerhouse? It’s because they have cheap labor. We need to create economic zones which taxes do not need to be paid within this zone for corporations…since this nation is fixed on the notion of the minimum wage (or eliminate corporate taxes period)! Charge people taxes only for what they purchase each year. It’s the only way we are going to be able to bring manufactures back to the United States. Americans need jobs, not be sucked into higher and higher taxes…to pay debts to foreign nations. It’s that simple.
Now, let’s talk about #3 (labor). Do you think throwing all the Mexicans out of the U.S. is going to drive the price of food higher or lower? Next year after the politicians put up a fence to keep the Mexicans out…just watch the price of food hit the ceiling. Hey, I’m for keeping terrorists and criminals out the U.S…so just let the other Mexicans in. We need them to pick the fruit, scrub the toilets, build the houses, and cook the food. Without them, this nation will sink even further into debt. Each of us is an immigrant. Let them become citizens. Make them join the army…make them earn their citizenship. Let them pick the fruit…and keep the price of food down. Forget about the color of their skin, we are all humans fighting to stay alive. Are we the land of opportunity or the land of racist (knuckleheads)? For every dollar spent, it affects nine other people…now that’s economic sense! Let, the Mexicans spend, pay taxes…and live here without worrying about being arrested.
If you want to stop criminals in their track…eliminate currency (cash). You need cash to be criminal. Let everyone pay with a debit card…and eliminate cash. Save the U.S. taxpayer from untold billions creating & maintaining currency…this is the 2008 (not 1905)!
Well, there you have an economic battle plan for our nation…since not one single politician or economist on Wall Street is willing to lay out an economic battle plan for our nation in simple terms.
Sincerely,
John Bagwell
